Born native to Buffalo, New York, I relocated to Michigan in 1987. I hold degrees in Metallurgy and Industrial Technology, and am full time employed in the “Motor City”. Having always been interested in jewelry and gemstones prompted me to complete studies through GIA for a Gemologist diploma. Now, designing jewelry is a wonderful creative outlet and am I very pleased to be able to share my love with so many.
Once I discovered lampworked glass beads, I was hooked. I began to design jewelry for myself that was one-of-kind, and quite unique. People began to place custom orders then I started doing shows. I named my designs funky beadz. My style is “funky eclectic”. My design goals are to create pieces that are fun to wear, make a statement and are never boring or common!
I enjoy experimenting with new ways to combine artist lampwork with vintage glass, sterling silver, copper, natural gems, handmade porcelains, polymer clay, and Swarovski crystal to create one-of-a-kind pieces that can reflect the individual wearer.
For the past few years, I have expanded more into metalwork. I hope you will enjoy the uniqueness of my designs.
I share my Plymouth home with husband Tom, three cats (Ziggi-Pop, Jasper, Katie Rose) and Cosmo Spock, a Hermann Tortoise.
